Here is my part of motobbori on the second image. To make it look more realistic you should consider things like-
the position of the light source and the distance between the light and the main object. Right now there seems to be a strong source near by but the floor is not illuminated by that!
The ball looks a bit flattened cause of the highlight is wrong.
The glow looks weird as if the light is coming from with in the ball. It should be around the illuminated parts only (assuming there is mist or dust in the atmosphere)
The current shadow works if the ball is made of semi transparent material. Otherwise it should be defined by the illuminated area of the floor.
