World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) is celebrated annually on 17 May since 1969 to raise the awareness of the people regarding various aspect of ICT. The event will be celebrated in Chittagong this year. To popularize the concept “Digital Bangladesh”, building the awareness and to ensure the participation of younger generation, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has arranged a competition on “Illustration on Digital Bangladesh with a Slogan”.

The theme of the competition is “Digital Bangladesh“. The Illustration must include a slogan also. This competition is open to all. Participants are encouraged to represent their creative ideas, concepts and vision about Digital Bangladesh in the illustration.

Terms and Conditions for Illustration Competition:

1. Students and professionals are encouraged to participate in this competition.

2. Registration is must to participate in the competition.

3. Participants must fill up the following Personal Information Form during submission of illustration.

4. One participant can register once only.

5. Illustration is to be submitted in “.jpg” , “.bmp” or “.eps” format to BTRC at wtisd@btrc.gov.bd.

6. The last date of submission is 30 April 07 May, 2009.

7. The illustration should be done on an A-4 size canvas.

8. Participants can use any graphics designing software.

9. Top ten illustrations shall be rewarded. Winners will be informed through e-mail / telephone by 14 May, 2009. The winners will be requested to attend the prize giving ceremony held on 18 May 2009 in IEB, Chittagong. BTRC will bear the transportation cost in this regard (only for winners within Bangladesh). Details will be intimated later.

10. The selected illustrations will be published in the Journal being issued on the eve of WTISD-2009.
